A Fear of Greatness

How do women let their true nature prevail,
When the conversations being had
are at a broken table?
We must dismantle it piece by piece.
Inspecting it part by part.
To build it back up with an open heart.

To make room for all cultures and creed.
To help dissipate the scarcity greed.
A pushing, a pulling.
A twisting of desires.

A repression, a regression,
To goodness and smiles.
A haunting shadow lurks near.
Told to suppress my desires,
it only fuels the fear.

A drowning, A hanging,
A burning at the stake.
If I admit my true nature,
I may succumb to this fate.

In search of my greatness,
I spread my wings and take flight.
Legacy’s embrace becomes my guiding light.
With my strong foundation,
I am destined to soar.
I will continue to always seek more.

Unveiling my strengths,
I have built an umbrella for the rain.
Embracing my greatness,
My abundant destiny is mine to gain.

For inside me lies a greatness untold,
A story of triumph waiting to unfold.
Return into self, to fix and restore,
Rebalancing, I find myself once more.
