Hey guys and gals! Welcome to our official new Carried Away blog! This is the first blog spot in the history of Carried Away and we are excited to use this as a place where we can share whats going on in our lives personally and within the band. I have to admit, I have never been consistent at keeping up with journal entries. If you look at my journal you’ll see an entry on August 1, 2009 and then the next one might not be until November 1, 2009. Very sporadic…but I still like to give my journal a quick update every once in awhile. In saying all that, I’m just asking you all to be patient while we get used to writing blogs. They could be sporadic and spread out, but know that we will really try to write here and keep you guys updated! So my first order of business to update you on (if you haven’t guessed already from the title), we are releasing our very first Christmas EP, consisting of 3 original songs and 2 traditional carols!! These songs have been written over the last few years and have finally come together. My personal favourite would have to be “O Holy Night”, mainly because that song is such a power song and the lyrics are so beautifully written that I can’t help be moved when I hear it. We do have samples on our website, so feel free to check it out and see what you think!
With Christmas being only 44 days 10 hours 39 minutes away, as of now (I checked on a Christmas countdown site!)…..we really want to focus our attention on the center of it all. – Jesus. I know it’s still early, but the malls and stores are already starting to bring out their Christmas decor and ads to push us into starting our shopping now, so why not start advertising the meaning behind our celebrating now as well. My prayer is that the music on this album fills your heart with hope this Christmas. We are loved so much that our Father would give His only Son. Now that’s a pretty awesome gift right there!
